Samsung Pay makes payments easier, more secure and faster. All newer Samsung smartphones and Samsung smartwatches are compatible.

Make payments in shops

Samsung Pay can be used anywhere payment cards are accepted. Both NFC (Near Field Communication) and MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) are supported.

Start by swiping from the bottom end of your Samsung Pay screen. Select the required card and then identify yourself with your fingerprint, iris scan or PIN. If you are making the payment with a Samsung smartwatch, hold the watch up to the payment terminal and confirm the payment by pressing a button.

Smartphones

  • Open the Samsung Pay App.
  • Tap “Add”.
  • Select “Add card”.
  • Follow the instructions on the display.

The following Samsung smartphones are supported:
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) (NFC only), Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016), Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), Samsung Galaxy S6 (NFC only), Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (NFC only), Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8+

Smartwatches

  • Open the Gear Manager App on your Galaxy smartphone.
  • Select the Samsung Pay function.
  • Tap “Add card”.
  • Follow the instructions on the display.

The following Samsung smartwatches are supported: Samsung Gear S3

  • Payments made using Samsung smartphones are confirmed with your fingerprint, iris scan or your personal Samsung Pay PIN. Where MST is used, payment is also confirmed by your signature. When using a smartwatch to make payments, authentication is by moving the watch over a PIN.
  • No card data or personal information is stored on the smartphone or smartwatch. A device account number (a “token”) is generated and assigned to your Cornèrcard. This number is encoded when it is used for the transaction, to keep your data confidential and secure.
