Login

The login with the mTAN authentication procedure is fast and convenient.
  • You enter as usual your ID and password.

  • Directly afterwards, you receive an mTAN as free SMS on your mobile telephone.

  • For authentication, you enter the mTAN in BKB-E-Banking.





Transaction Confirmation via mTAN (SMS)

For some individual payments, execution must be confirmed via mTAN.
The use of the mTAN to issue payment orders via E-Banking increases security in electronic payments. You receive payment data for review.
  • The mTAN is valid only for a limited time and then expires automatically

  • The authentication means of BKB-E-Banking are divided anew into two channels, the Internet and the mobile telephone network (also non-Swiss mobile communication providers).

  • Thanks to the transaction confirmation, payment details can be carefully reviewed before the payment is executed.

mTAN stands for mobile transaction number. These are additional mobile codes that are transmitted via SMS to your mobile telephone or SMS-capable end device if you use the authentication procedure BKB-mTAN.



nach-oben-link-icon How can Matrix Card owners register for the mTan Log-In procedure?

  1. After logging on in BKB E-Banking, click in the menu "Settings" and then "Manage Mobile Telephone Numbers".
  2. Record the telephone number under which you want to receive authentication SMS in future.
  3. In several days you will receive an activation code by mail. As soon as you enter this code in BKB-E-Banking the first time, mTan will be active. Until activation, you can continue to use the Matrix Card as usual.

An mTAN is active for a brief time. Afterwards, it can no longer be used.

When your mTAN is no longer active, you can request a new mTAN via BKB-E-Banking, which will be transmitted again to your mobile telephone.

It is usually very quick and takes only seconds (depending on your telephone service provider and your location).

If the old mobile telephone number is still in service, log on in BKB-E-Banking and change the mobile telephone number under Settings > Manage Mobile Telephone Numbers. If your old mobile number is no longer in service, complete the mTAN request form and send it to us.

For security reasons, only one telephone number can be registered.
